Drawing in medical practice

Exploring the Role of Drawing as a (research) Tool for Collecting Data in Medical Practice.

A collaborative research project between DRAW and UWE Drawing Research Group (DRG), led by Anouk Mercier (DRG), with the aim to investigate, record and understand the current role of Drawing as a tool for collecting data in medical practice: with a specific focus on Drawing’s potential to record and translate information in situations where other (digital) data recording methods are either inappropriate or ineffective, such as in describing pain or recording ‘invisible’ ailments. This research will be informed by, and respond to, the evolving post COVID-19 landscape.
